WINTER STILL // PUFFER JACKET & TWEED MINI
Hello, how is your start of March going?! I hope that you’re starting out in a stylish way! I know that we all just want to put away our coats, bulky jackets and all of the heavy gear, away for a couple of months. I can totally relate with that feeling because I’m so ready for Spring and all I want is to enjoy those warm days by showing some skin, which is perfectly fine. But girls, be patient, winter is still here, so before you get rid of all of your winter pieces for a period of time, take advantage of these last days of the cold and wear them in a stylish way.
I wore this look last week when out of the blue, we surprisingly had super cold days in San Diego. The reason for that was a heavy snowstorm that was happening in the mountains near us. Now, it has started to feel a little bit more like Spring, but not quite yet.
For that day, I paired a tweed skirt with tights, of course, because it was literally super cold. Then I wore an asymmetrical yellow top and my black puffer jacket that was the perfect choice to keep me warm and look chic at the same time. This jacket is one of my favorites because its ruffle details add a touch of fun to any outfit, elevating and giving a twist to this piece. It’s also super cozy and warm. The mini skirt I’m wearing is so cute and warm too, it looks preppy and feminine thanks to its hem. I love pairing skirts with boots because it’s a great way to add a chic touch to your look. In order to avoid going matchy-matchy, I decided to incorporate color, so that way this looks like it just made a splash! Turning a cool monochromatic to a creative pairing that’s perfect to enjoy the last few days left of winter, brrr!

Hola, ¿Como les va en el comienzo de Marzo? Espero que lo esten iniciando con mucho estilo. 🙂
Ya se que lo que todas queremos es dejar a un lado por unos meses los abrigos, chamarras y las prendas pesadas. Comparto este sentimiento porque ya estoy super lista para recibir la primavera, deseo disfrutar esos dias de calorcito y porque no, poder enseñar un poco de piel en lugar de estar tan tapada. Pero chicas, sean pacientes, el invierno aun esta aquí, asi que antes de que guarden en el baúl por un tiempo, las piezas de invierno, mejor hay que sacarles provecho y llevarlas con mucho estilo en estos ultimos dias de frio.
Este fue mi look en un día de la semana pasada, cuando de la nada el clima se puso muy frio en San Diego. La razon de este cambio tan drastico fue una fuerte nevada que cayó en las montañas cercanas. Pero, ya ha empezado a sentirse un clima un poco mas primaveral, solo un poco. Para ese día, lleve una minifalda de tweed con mallas por supuesto, porque estaba literalmente congelándome. En la parte superior un top asimétrico y una chamarra muy acolchonada (puffer) la cual fue la eleccion perfecta para mantenerme abrigada y lucir chic a la vez. Esta chamarra acabo de comprarla y es una de mis favoritas por el detalle de olanes, mismos que le dan un toque femenino y divertido a esta prenda. La falda me gusta porque su material la hace una pieza perfecta para el frio. Chequen que lindo el acabado del dobladillo. Para evitar ir en un solo tono, preferi incorporar color para dar un poco de vida al conjunto. De esta manera se transforma un look monocromático en algo mas original y llamativo, perfecto para disfrutar los ultimos dias del invierno.
