Welcoming Fall // Knit Sweater Coat & Wool Beret
Are you ready for the chilly months? Time definitely flies, and now it’s time to bundle up! I love the fall-winter season because it’s a great opportunity to play around with my wardrobe, in order to create stylish and fun looks incorporating layers. And girl, It’s not completely necessary to put away or store your summer pieces. If you use your creativity, you can totally make those pieces fall appropriate, the key is the marvelous layers you incorporate to your look to stay warm, yet stylish and chic at the same time.
One of the things that make me love San Diego is its marvelous weather, however, during fall, it is kind of unpredictable, sometimes sunny and the next day surprisingly cold. I definitely choose my look for the day, after opening my curtains and seeing how the day is. Of course, if I need to prepare my outfit in advance the weather app is always my ally.
As many of you know, I’m obsessed with those pieces that are feminine, because I always love to add that touch to my looks. A couple of weeks ago, I was introduced to a brand that totally caught my attention because of their romantic, feminine, and unique pieces. Peruvian Connection. I fell in love with their quality and luxurious designs, carefully crafted by Andean artisans in conjunction with talented designers. Check how beautiful my knit sweater coat is, it was love at first sight. When I saw it on their website, I imagined myself wearing this lovely piece and it’s even better once you have it in person because it has a great texture, super soft to the touch. The reason for that is because the majority is made with Alpaca Fiber. I wasn’t very familiar with this fabric, but now I know that it’s lighter and warmer than wool.
Its draped collar detail makes this piece special. It’s extremely versatile to wear during the cold months. I decided to pair it with jeans and a red turtleneck to add a pop of color to my ensemble and the result was a chic and stylish outfit that received tons of compliments. You can easily dress this knit sweater coat up by wearing any kind of bottoms, according to the occasion, such as trousers, pencil or leather skirt, high boots, etcetera. Notice that it has a belt, which you can tie up front or on the back. I especially love wearing it this way! Or you can even wear it without the belt. It’s totally optional.
To complement my attire, I chose a wool beret. Let me tell you that I had always wanted to style one for myself since I have seen this chic accessory everywhere, but I was trying a couple that were lacking structure and when I tried this one from Peruvian Connection, Ooh La La! I loved the result! A real french beret that adds these particularly parisian and romantic vibes. So you will probably see me wearing this lovely hat multiple times during the season.

¡Hola mis amores! ¿Ya se estan preparando para los meses frescos? Es increible lo rapido que pasa el tiempo, pero ha llegado la época de abrigarse.
Me encanta la temporada de otoño-invierno porque representa para mi una oportunidad de experimentar con mi guardarropa y dar vida a looks divertidos y con estilo haciendo uso de las capas. Quiero señalar que no es necesario guardar en el baúl, todas tus prendas de verano, ya que si usas tu imaginación puedes hacer que estas luzcan apropiadas para el otoño. La clave son las maravillosas capas que incorpores a tus conjuntos para mantenerte abrigada y verte muy chic a la vez.
Una de las cosas que mas amo de San Diego, es el clima. Sin embargo, en el otoño es un poco impredecible, ya que a veces esta muy soleado y al siguiente dia te sorprendes con mucho frio. Lo que siempre hago es elegir mi vestimenta del dia, literal, despues de haber abierto las cortinas y ver como pinta el dia. Claro, que si necesito preparar mi look con anticipación, la aplicación del clima es mi mejor aliado.
Como algun@s de ustedes sabrán, me gustan mucho las prendas femeninas, porque amo dar ese toque a mis looks. Hace un par de semanas tuve un acercamiento con una marca que capto por completo mi atención, por sus romanticos, únicos y sobretodo femeninos diseños. Peruvian Connection. Me enamoré de la calidad de sus piezas, cuidadosamente elaboradas por artesanos andinos en conjunto con talentosos diseñadores. Checa que lindo est my abrigo. Cuando lo vi en su página en linea, de inmediato me visualicé con ella. Al tener esta prenda fisicamente, me di cuenta que es aún mas linda y super suave al tacto. Esto se debe a que está elaborada en su mayoría de fibra de Alpaca . Anteriormente no estaba familiarizada con este material, pero ahora se que es una fibra ligera y que calienta mas que la lana.
Su cuello drapeado, hace a esta pieza especial. Sin duda es una prenda versátil para estos meses de frio. Decidí llevarla con jeans y un cuello de tortuga rojo para dar un toque de color a mi conjunto y el resultado fue un lindo look, el cual recibió muchos cumplidos. Puedes fácilmente llevar esta prenda de manera más formal, ya sea con una falda de piel, falda lápiz, pantalones, botas altas, etcetera. Puedes notar que incluye un cinturón, el cual puede llevarse al frente o por la parte de atrás, como lo estoy llevando. Inclusive puedes llevarlo sin el cinturón, como te guste mas.
Para complementar mi vestimenta, incorporé un beret. Dejame decirte que desde hace tiempo tenía ganas de llevar este accesorio, el cual se puede ver mucho esta temporada. Me había probado algunos que carecian de estructura y al checar este de la colección de Peruvian Connection, Ooh La La! ¡Me encanto el resultado! Un lindo beret que le da ese particular toque parisino y vibra romantica. Así que es muy probable que me veas luciendo este accesorio en múltiples ocasiones dutrante esta temporada.
