How can you make your hair grow faster?
Well, this is a common question that I’m pretty sure most of the women have. Maintaining beautiful, long, and luscious hair is possible by just changing your hair care routine. Personally, one of my biggest concerns is that I’ve always had thin hair and I’m certain that many women can relate to this situation because it’s a totally natural process, that occurs while we grow. Let me tell you about a funny story from a long time ago. When I was 16, I was at a family brunch and I heard someone say that peppers were great to stimulate hair growth, that person also said that the hotter the better. So knowing that, once I got home, I looked around my kitchen and found a serrano pepper, which is very hot. I mixed it with a few drops of water in the blender to create a salsa. Yes!, I did exactly what you’re thinking! I applied it to my scalp! It was the dumbest thing I have ever done, you can’t imagine how much my scalp stung and the worst feeling was when the mix touched my eyes. I learned a good lesson, don’t put spicy stuff on your scalp, it’s not worth it. lol! Yes, peppers can stimulate your scalp and follicles but not when it’s applied that way, duh!!
Ok, but let’s get to the point with smarter remedies instead of applying peppers on your hair. So here are my 5 tips to achieve healthy hair growth:
- Trim it. That is the best way to get rid of those split ends and damage. I trim mine on a regular basis: 1 inch every 2 to 3 months (3 is the max) and once a year I trim it 2-3 inches. I have realized that my hair grows faster and with that, I don’t allow split ends that normally ruin its appearance, break my hair or make it loose length.
- Multivitamins + healthy food. I know that sometimes, because of the hectic pace of life, it’s not easy to eat as healthy as you would like, but keep in mind that healthy habits can always be reflected in your appearance. So treat your hair as another important part of your body. Good products will help to maintain your hair luscious and smooth on the outside but you need also to take care of it from the inside. A healthy diet is essential to stimulate hair growth. I started to take organic hair vitamins, every morning with breakfast, about a month ago, and I’m having great results. My hair looks healthier, despite all of the crazy procedures I normally have and the falling of it has diminished. I noticed that, when I was brushing my hair after washing it, I realized that before taking these vitamins a lot of hair would stay on the brush. G

- Limit the use of heat styling tools to about once a week. Who doesn’t want to look presentable most of the time, and without a doubt, since the hair is the frame of the face, the hairstyle plays an important role. Let me tell you that in my case when getting ready for a special plan, I focus all around my hair. Even more than makeup because I could have no makeup but great curly and voluminous hair and I’ll feel great. I try to use either the iron or any heat devices once a week, no matter what. So on the days that I need to look presentable without using the styling tools I pull my hair up in a bun. And I always apply a heat protector before using any kind of heat on my hair. I also need to emphasize that I let my hair dry naturally after washing it and very rarely, I use a blowdryer.
- Avoid washing your hair every day. Unless you have an oily scalp, my recommendation is to shampoo your hair 2 times a week. What?! Yes, that was my reaction when an expert recommended me to do that because I love working out. So I thought about the smell after my gym routine. If you sweat a lot consider washing it at least every other day. Trust me, especially if you color your hair, you will see a huge improvement after this change, because I noticed it. I only wash it twice, sometimes once a week and besides the fact that the color stays in lo
nger it looks and feels healthier and smoother. The reason the experts give this tip is because the natural oils that your hair produces help your hair hydrate and repair itself. Makes sense right? The days I don’t wash it I use dry shampoo, if necessary. So try it, but don’t abuse using it because you don’t want to clog your pores.
- Brush your hair before bed and give it a massage: This is a good habit that will help you stimulate the circulation through the fiber of the hair, that way, you are distributing its natural oils through it. If you do it approprietly daily, you’ll see how it grows faster and healthier. I also recommend that just before washing it, you give your scalp a gentle massage to stimulate and yes, wake those folicules up, and push them to work and stimulate healthy hair growth.

It’s a fact that if you want to maintain long hair you must take care of it, long hair requires more care. If you want to keep it long without investing on it, then you’re going to have a hard time because it doesn’t work that way. And I’m not necessarily talking about money, I mean time and a regular routine to make it look healthy and shiny. Because girls, it’s not worth at all to have long hair if it doesn’t look healthy.

Asi que mantenerlo saludable es muy importante para lucir al maximo. Nunca sera tarde para empezar a cuidarlo, segun sus necesidades especificas. Asi que pense en escribir este post ya que he recibido varias preguntas acerca de como es que lo cuido, pero especificamente me han preguntado sobre el cuidado para mantenerlo tan largo. No soy una profesional del cabello, para nada, pero quisiera compartir algunos tips que he aprendido con el tiempo y que me han funcionado de maravilla. ¿Como lograr un rapido crecimiento de nuestro cabello?
Bueno esta es una pregunta comun, que estoy segura muchas de las mujeres tienen. Mantener una bonita, larga y sedosa cabellera es posible tan solo modificando algunos de los cuidados que le damos a esta. Personalmente, una de mis inquietudes es que mi pelo siempre ha sido muy delgado y me imagino que muchas de ustedes se identifican con esta situación, debido a que es un proceso totalmente natural que puede ocurrir con el paso de los años. Para ser honesta, yo era una de esas chicas que solia comprar todo producto que prometiera su crecimiento y en especial frenara la caida. Dejenme contarles un incidente chistoso de hace varios años cuando tenia 16. Estando en una comida familiar escuche a alguien decir que el chile era muy bueno para estimular el crecimiento del cabello, aquella persona tambien dijo que entre mas picante fuera este, mejor. Asi que teniendo eso en mente, al llegar a casa fui directo a la cocina en busca de un chile serrano, el cual es picoso. Hice una mezcla en la licuadora añadiendo un poco de agua, prácticamente una salsa, y SI!! Hice exactamente lo que estan pensando, ¡lo aplique en el cuero cabelludo! Fue una de las ideas mas tontas que pude haber tenido, ya podran imaginar cuanto me ardia el coco y lo peor fue en cuanto, un poco de la mezcla entro a mi ojo. Aprendi una buena lección: no poner ingredientes picantes en el craneo, no vale la pena. jajaja! Es un hecho que el chile puede estimular tanto al cuero cabelludo como los folículos, pero aplicado de la manera adecuada en productos que contengan este ingrediente.
Ok, despues de esta vergonzosa historia, vayamos al punto, con remedios mas inteligentes que aplicar chile en la cabeza. Asi que checa mis recomendaciones para tener un crecimeinto saludable y natural del cabello.
- Despuntarlo: Esta es la mejor manera de deshacerse de las puntas abiertas mejor conocidas como orzuela. Yo lo despunto aproximadamente 2.5 cm cada 2 o 3 meses ( 3 como maximo), y una vez al año de 5 a 7 cm. Me he percatado que crece mas rápido cortándolo de esta manera ya que no permito que las puntas abiertas que le dan una mala apariencia , terminen por trozar el pelo y hacer que pierda longitud.
- Multivitaminas + comida saludable. Se que muchas veces, debido al agitado ritmo de vida, no es facil comer tan saludable comon quisiéramos, pero ten presente que los buenos habitos se reflejan en la apariencia. Asi que trata tu pelo como otra parte importante del cuerpo, el cual puede recibe nutrientes de los productos que utilicemos. Los buenos productos ayudan a mantener un cabello sedoso por fuera, pero tambien necesita cuidado por dentro, asi que una dieta balanceada es básica para estimular su crecimiento. La Biotina, es un suplemento milagroso que tiene como blanco especifico, el cabello y la piel, asi que pregunta a tu dcotor de cabecera. Yo estoy tomando esta cápsula, aproximadamente hace un mes tomando, lo hago diariamente con el desayuno y estoy sorprendida con los resultados. Mi pelo luce mas saludable, a pesar de todos los procesos químicos que suelo tener. La caida ha disminuido considerablemente. Esto lo noto, mas que nada al cepillarlo despues de bañar, ya que antes de tomar esta vitamina veía mas cabellos en el cepillo. Se que existen gran variedad de suplementos en el mercado que incluyen Biotina, pero la que yo tomo es pura ( cápsulas veganas- 5000 mcg) pero una vez mas, te reitero que se lo preguntes a tu doctor para que te receta la dosis adecuada. Y di siempre SI, a frutas y verduras.
- Limita el uso de planchas, secadoras a una vez por semana. Quien no quiere lucir presentable la mayoria del tiempo, y sin lugar a dudas al ser el pelo el marco del rostro, el estilo en como lo llevemos juega un papel fundamental. Te cuento que en mi caso, al alistarme, todo gira en torno a mi pelo, mas que el maquillaje. Prefiero lucir de cara lavada o maquillaje natural pero con un cabello bien peinado, con volumen y se que me sentire bien. Trato de usar, ya sea la plancha o cualquier herramienta que implique calor una vez a la semana, sin excepción. Asi que en aquellos dias en que tengo que verme arreglada y no voy a hacer uso de estos artefactos, simplemente me agarro el pelo en un chongo bien peinado y listo. Eso si, cuando aplico calor lo hago despues de usar un protector de calor previamente. Tambien quiero enfatizar que nunca utilizo la secadora, pues me gusta que mi pelo se seque de manera natural, asi que lo lavo cuando estoy segura que tendre el tiempo suficiente para dejarlo secar por si solo.
- Evita lavar tu cabello diariamente. Al menos que tengas un cuero cabelludo grasoso, mi recomendacion es dar shampoo de 2 a 3 veces por semanas. Que!!? Si, esa fue mi reaccion cuando un experto me lo dijo, porque yo hago ejercicio normalmente. Y no queria imaginarme el olor despues de mi rutina del gimnasio. Eso si, hago muy poco cardio, alrededor de 20 minutos, pero si eres de las que suda demasiado considera lavarlo aunque sea cada tercer dia. Creeme, especialmente si pintas tu pelo, veras una gran mejora despues de esta modificacion en el lavado de este. Yo lo lavo dos veces por semana y he notado que ademas de que el color permanece por mas tiempo se ve y se siente mas suave. La razon que dan los expertos que recomiendan esto, es que de esta manera permitimos que los aceites naturales que produce el cabello o cuero cabelludo ayudan a hidratarlo y repararlo por si solo. ¿Tiene sentido no? Los dias que no lo lavo, aplico shampoo en seco, si es necesario. Intentalo, solo que no abuses, porque no quieres que tapen los poros por el exceso de uso.
- Cepillalo antes de dormir y da un masaje: Este es un buen habito que aprendi desde niña y que ayuda a estimular la circulacion a lo largo de las fibras capilares. Al cepillarlo distribuyes sus aceites naturalesa lo largo del cabello. Si lo haces de la manera adecuada diariamente, notaras como crece mas rapido y mucho mas saludable. Tambien recomiendo que justo antes de lavarlo, dediques unos minuto a dar un masaje al cuero cabelludo para estimularlo. Asi que tomate el tiempo para despertar a esos foliculos y hacerlos trabajar en la producciòn de nuevo cabello y estimular su crecimiento.
Es un hecho que si deseas mantener un pelo largo, debes cuidarlo, porque un cabello largo requiere mas cuidados. Invierte en el, y no necesariamente dinero, sino tiempo y una rutina constante para hacerlo lucir sedoso y sano. Porque chicas, no vale la pena tener un cabello largo si no luce bien.
